Not all managed WordPress hosting providers are equal. The market is full of options at very different price points — and the cheapest one that calls itself “managed” often is not, in any meaningful sense.

Here is what actually matters when evaluating a managed WordPress hosting provider.

What to look for

  • CDN included — A content delivery network ensures your site loads fast for visitors anywhere in the Netherlands and beyond. If a provider does not include a CDN, that is a gap you will need to fill elsewhere
  • Security at the infrastructure level — Look for built-in firewalls, DDoS protection, and malware scanning. This should be part of the hosting, not an add-on
  • Flexible or sufficient resources — Your site needs enough memory and processing power to handle your traffic. More importantly, the provider should be able to scale with you if that changes
  • Reasonable pricing — Managed hosting costs more than shared hosting, but the premium should be justified. Compare what is actually included, not just the monthly fee
  • WordPress-specific expertise — Support that understands WordPress is worth more than generic server support when something goes wrong
  • Staging environment availability — A good managed hosting provider should make it possible to test changes before pushing them live

You do not have to figure this out alone

Choosing the right hosting provider is one of the most consequential decisions for your website’s performance. Getting it wrong is expensive to fix later.
